This is after I cleaned up the unit and bored out the master cylinder mounting hole large enough to mount a thirdgens master (the master cylinders on pickups are smaller in diameter) I also added a larger return spring for a faster pedal return.

After I removed the original globe of a booster.

Had to cut the original pushrod and connect it to the hydroboost unit as the hydroboost has a larger hole for the pedal end. I decided to attach it in such a way that made it adjustable. I then made a plate to attach the unit to the original spacer that attaches to the firewall. I made this plate out of the license plate mounting surface of a factory 1982 F150 bumper heh. I also used a hub nut off of a dana 60 to attach the unit to the plate as they share the same thread.

Had to cut a small portion of the original rubber tube-like thing in the spacer (after I ground off the rivets attaching it to the vacuum booster) to make room for the hub nut, the fit was nearly flawless.

This is the final product. (for now, I still need to make and use AN lines as I'm still using the stock 84 Sierra lines.) The fit is really nice and makes clutch work much easier.

I know its only been a day or two, but I love how the brakes feel, they feel more responsive (It doesn't make sense to me as the pedal travel should be the same) and much much more consistent, but I think thats mostly because my engine only made 7 inches of vacuum.

Any comments and/or questions welcome.

~Jeff.

Almost forgot, I also rebuilt my power steering pump and added a double return reservoir.
