I think the feeling is if he wanted it to look like it was done with a Dremel, he would have done it with a Dremel. You send something to a machinst because you want something professionally done, not something just good enough. In my mind, a machinst should be like an artist; when that machinst does work for someone, their name and reputation carries with that job. There are plenty of good machinsts out there that understand this and put 100% effort into everything they do, no matter how small. And if they don't think they can do a decent job or just don't have the time to meet their own quality standards, they will refer the work to someone else. If I saw something like that sitting in a machine shop I would never get work done there.
