the CC carbs are not much different than regular Qjets as far as function is concerned. still has jets, rods and adjusting screws for mixture related adjustments. the computer only controls the idle and early primary mixture. when the ECU craps out (and they do) the carb defaults to a rich setting. A way to check the CC functions on the carb to see if they are working is to unplug it (plug by accelerator pump) and see what happens, it should run rich. code 44 comes up as a lean mixture. there is a APT adjustment which can be adjusted to manually richen the idle and low speed mixture. should be 3-4.5 turns out depending on application and source. it can be accessed w/o tearing the carb apart if the cap was drilled. it was sealed from the factory. this there are a few things that are suggested to do by the factory manuals when rebuilding. At that point you might as well rebuild the carb as its mostly apart anyway.

I recall your engine in mostly stock so while playing w/ jets and rods may see slight performance gains, your car should run decent w/ the factory settings.

hope this helps.
