every y pipe I have seen has been custom. Either someone destroys the one that hawk sells, or goes to a shop to make their own.
You would figure at this point, someone would make a Y that worked. I still dont understand why a Y pipe for lets say, LT Hookers for a SBC wouldnt work? Once the exhaust is routed to the collector, they all end up in about the same location, right? So what would really be the difference. Anyone have a spare third gen y pipe for LT headers lying around?

1 3/4 headers come in either 2.5 or 3 inch collectors. Im feeling 2.5 for clearance issues. Will I see that much of a difference with the extra half inch?

The y will make up any difference in size from the LT's to the cat,

baaahahhahaah
seriously you are doing something "one off" so you have to roll with the punches. i would concentrate on the major components first then nitpick with the little things later on. i mean, you have an engine from 2000 whatever going into a 1987 mess. there will be plenty of tongue twisters for you to re engineer
that or i'll just go **** myself
