i think the best college vehicles are single cab pickups (minimizes riders, easier to lug crap home & back) and small, cheap beaters that you don't care if it hits a wall let alone gets scratched or stolen - like a 15 year old civic. the exchange students at school bought like $500 vehicles, left them on campus over the summer and when they left for good they left the car too.
