On the stripe color, I did the flake/pearl coats, and covered it in clear. Wet sanded that and brroke through a few spots to the black base...
Before when I did the car, I just sprayed the copper right over the black base with no problems. I suppose when ya clear over it, and break back through it changes or something chemically. Anyways, when the copper was sprayed over the black base, it reactivated it, and wrinkled the copper. Reason being DBC (base coat/color) never cures like a epoxy primer, 2k primer or a clear......
Two fixes that I didn't know about before spraying the copper, (I do now......), is to primer back over sanded through spots or add a activator to the DBC to well cure it so it doesn't reactivate like that....
Oh well live and learn.
