you need whats called a long knife & a cable knife.
1.the cable knife has a 90* blade on it to cut the perimeter glue from bottom right corner around to bottom left corner,
2.then pushing windshield up & out with your forehead, use the long knife to strike @ the glue down by edge of dashboard/cowl area.
3.pull windshield rest of way out
4.trim down existing glue(urythane)
5.use primer on pinchweld and glue area
6.shoot bead of sika/ureythane leaving solid bead overlapping @ joints 2" (you'll need 3 tubes)
7.clean new glass
8.install new $35 flex molding
9.attach sucktion cups
10.set glass into place
11.firmly press down with both hands thoughout edge of glass to "seat it"
12.leave window down a bit for 2 days so cabin air doesn't push window out when closing door

So......lets add it it up
long knife
cable knife
suction cups
flex molding
ureythane
primer

oh yeah and new window.....

Now do you want to have safelite do it or do it yourself?
