Why would I want to buy the most useless part of these cars?

Are there no tugboats shells available? I thought people tried to make race cars smaller.
Nothing smaller here - and I know people that think 2nd gens are too big. And that dumb challenger is the barge the chevy tugboat pushes.
I'd rather take $8000 and try buy the camaro drivetrain and put it in useful a car. Although right now pull-outs are running ~$10,000. I have no need for an un-registrable car.
Scary is I still like the new camaro, I'm just still appalled at it's size.
