Something I'd like to point out:
GET A GOOD CONVERTER!
Cheap converters are just that; cheap. And when they fail they'll take out your transmission too. My '98 has been more or less sitting waiting for me to either (a) pay someone or (b) find the time to install the Yank SS 3600 + flexplate I have wating to go in. The car currently has a TCI (Total Crap Industries) 3500 converter in it that has a failing lockup clutch in it. I'm not driving it because I can't afford to rebuild the trans when the clutch completely fails and wipes it.
