Stroker Build Questions

I'm about to rebuild my motor over the winter and I was originally planning a 355; reusing the stock crank. However I am throwing around the idea of a stroked motor.

I am not new to building motors but I am new to anything other than stock stroke. I'm looking into a 3.75" stroke crank to build a 383.

My questions are:
- Between 5.7" & 6" rods, which one is "better"?
- Will the 6" rod have any clearance issues?
- Do I have to be concerned with any clearances with the larger stroke (besides for the initial machine work to get the journals clearanced)?
- Do I need to use a different oil pan?
