When I had my GTP I was hanging out on some of the Grand Prix boards, and they covered the issues. There are guys who can build the trannies pretty well, and the other issues were spoken of as well. There is a guy out there in cyberland who has a Monte SS [FWD model like the GP] with a crazy turbocharged, destroked, LS7 under the hood. It's putting out 800+ hp, and he got the tranny built to last. I'd just be looking for a stocky type car with a couple of bolt ons. 305 HP stock is enough to get me in trouble.
