As of yesterday I have a california car cover for my 4th gen and a covercraft weathersheild hp for my 3rd gen. They both I believe are made by the same manufacture. I put the weathersheild on a 3month old paint job in October, fits great feels kinda like a rain jacket/umbrella it's very thin but being so light it's not heavy on the paint. Water beads off of it amazingly car seems to stay dry too. After the winter and my 5+ times taking it off and back on to drive te car there's no damage whatsoever.

The storm weave seems softer more like the inside of a sweatshirt in the inside and more like a stiff blanket on the outside. I can't speak on the quality of stopping stuff like rain or snow but it's been on the car all day and I checked under it and the car was dry. Feels like it would protect better against things hitting the car vs the weathersheild. I did months of research though last summer on what cover to get and it was the weathersheild hp I don't regret the decision at all.
