You could tell by the number of out of state utility workers that this was a serious restoration effort. I wonder how it compares to the freezing rain/ice storm from a couple of years ago that extended through NY, VT, NH and into Canada. Obviously those areas don't have the dense population like NJ/NY does, but those were some brutal conditions for the workers and people without power. I think that overall it was a pretty quick recovery, especially considering the snowstorm so soon afterwards.
