I had a vacation day to burn from work, so since it was nice today I figured I'd get my feet wet and become an SRT4 mechanic. Yeah, right!
First mod I wanted to do was poly engine mounts, and in order to get to one mount on the driver's side it is necessary to remove the ECM and it's mounting tray. OK, no bigs. Well, put a wrench on the first nut...SNAP!!!! And this is after soaking it in PB Blaster. Alright, will drill it out later. Put wrench on second nut after PB soaking it for a while...SNAP! Dayum!!! And I haven't even been working out in a while! Oh well, thank god for back up cars. Did some drilling and hit Ace for some new hardware ala "unstable engineering" style. But it's going to be dark soon. Oh well, I hear it's supposed to be nice tomorrow as well.
I have to admit it does feel good to be swinging wrenches on a cool car again!
