Hes talking about a Gen III LQ4. We swapped an LQ4 into my 98 and thats what had to be done. The first series of the iron block motors had spacers built into the end of the crank for the flywheel, they will not bolt up to a 4l60e or T56. You need an '01-06 motor. The earlier ones had iron heads anyway, if you see an iron headed one, dont even bother.
