I feel the same way. Car looks really good but the rear just doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the car.

Recently I had dinner with two 50+ guys who have multi-car collections full of rare/valuable stuff. Both of them are also Corvette guys who had seen the spy shots. Neither one cared for the rear in the new Vette. Their thoughts?

I would guess that it's twofold- one, to keep up with Porsche, and two, to hit the almighty MPG numbers while still having a ton of power.
