But in all seriousness, Americans are lazy motherf*****s. The problem is that Americans do NOT want to be connected to driving at all anymore. They want to get in the car and sleep while they commute, they don't want to have to think about anything while they drive, this includes following simple laws and common courtesy. Time and time again I have seen traffic CAUSED by people being lazy asses and proof of all of this is that the driving testing in this country is waaaaaaaaaay too easy. There are people in this country that should not be on the road, but they are able to because of automatic transmissions.

Back in the day they didn't even have automatic transmissions, then when they did they carried a premium price. Europe has been driving manual transmissions for a lot longer than we have.
