It has nothing to do with being lazy. It's a PITA in daily driving, especially if it is a lot of stop & go. Been there, done that. Throw some young kids in the car and it's more of a hassle. I don’t need a manual transmission to feel manly and cool.
I have a 2 door fun car with a 6 speed. I see no reason to need a 4 door manual shift car.
