nope, it was my nonexistant wiring skills. i tried to hook up a manual fan switch, i thought the switch was grounded and it wasn't. my car died at an intersection today, i had to get it towed to a shop. i'm 99.9% sure i shorted out the alternator. it needs to be replaced.
