Most car guys have heard this a few times, I know I have.
Its a different story if the seller can produce receipts and knows the car by telling you who did the work , when and what parts were used. When i sell a car (and I do a couple a year) I have the paperwork handy at time of sale.
Make it easy on yourself I will sell ya my 94 Z28 Vert save me on paying storage for it. Lightly modified with all paperwork
