Actually, i was slightly wrong... Even thought the 82-84s had the same style center console as the camaros from 82-92, from pics I have been looking at, it seems the birds, have a raised area around the armrest storage bin, and therefore a thinner lid. The camaro lids go flush down to the top of the console. You could probably install a camaro upper console section and then use a camaro lid, other wise I do think you may be limited to an 82-84 firebird or trans am console lid.
