And now it's 2014 and no title. I called Ally to find out where it is, and it was sent to the wrong address. I asked if they ever received it back, and they didn't. Question is: Will that be good enough to transfer the car into my aunt's name (my aunt bought the car) or will I need to take the RoL, turn it into a title, and then do the whole song and dance.
For what it's worth:

When I got rid of my Malibu (trade in) the dealer told me that an ROL was not good enough, which sucked because Natalie had misplaced the title and it took a few days to get a replacement printed. I verified what they told me with the DMV since it was a hassle and I wanted to be sure. I had to provide both the ROL and the title so I could sign the car over.
