Prevo.....you're right the vendors were quite disappointing. The fact that I was more interested in looking at the knives and swords that were for sale than the junk parts is pretty pathetic. I only made it through the side on the Goodyear lane however. The other side may have had better parts for all I know. 3 hours of walking, dragging my girlfriend with me (who didn't complain once), and getting sunburn was enough.
I got lucky with the judging I think. The guy really knew his stuff. I came back from the swap meet at 3 and all the cars around me were judged but mine wasn't. I had to go to the tower and drag someone out to my car to get it judged. Guess it's a good thing I did.

If you walked the 'Pit Side' of the 'Swap Meet', then you saw the best side of what was there.
In regards to that fellow's 70 T/A, you've still proved my point, in that believe it or not, there are a lot of 'car guys & gals' out there, who would be daunted by seeing what that guy had, and not realize that they might be able to do the same thing, if they're able to put the 'sweat equity' into the project. That's where the 'Average Guy's Car Show' project comes in.
It will show people that the average car enthusiast with a job, CAN produce a stunning car, or at the very least, a darn nice looking one, on their own.
Yeah, sometimes persistence does pay off. I'd just like to get my hands around the neck of that moron Judge that paw printed my Plymouth. I was always told that as a Judge, you DO NOT touch a participant's car for ANY reason, without the express permission of the vehicle owner.
