GoPro is a great camera. If you move along to data logging and video overlay almost all of the systems now support GoPro as well. I'm a believer in buying things once so I shop for what I can keep and enjoy for the longest even if it means spending a bit extra.
I have been very happy with my GoPro's and with more and more of the data logging and video systems supporting them I can't see any reason not to stick with them.

I agree. If this doesn't work out, I will get a GoPro. I was just not impressed with my buddies GoPro Black's battery life. It barely lasted 2 hours with no wifi. Not a total of 2 hours recording time either, 100% charge.
I love the GoPro app as well being able to watch the camera, and change the settings, etc. etc. etc.
I'm just broke
