You may just be able to use one of them on the intermediate section of the pipe. I had a 1995 so I had to deal with tailpipe testing.
If you *think* you are clean enough, I have some gutted cat shells you can have to pass if you need 'em. For 3" pipe.

Yeah 96 cars had 1 cat right on the header and 1 cat in the y pipe... so I would just throw 1 in the y-pipe. itll tone down the raspy GMMG also.
Im not concerned about clean, just the sound. but if I can look clean, be "clean",and sound better, works for me
