but Tim maybe you can answer a similar question for me about using older plates....
My mom just bought a new car, as far as we knew we were unable to use the plates from my parents old vehicle, which was registered and titled only in my fathers name.
Shes getting new plates but I wanted to see if there was a way to keep the old plates and at some point transfer them to the new car. The old car was a grand caravan and the new car is an ATS but I think thats the same "class" of vehicle in the DMVs eyes. I just don't know how to put the plates into my moms name instead.
