As they get rolling their success attracts bigger money guys, think Corvette owners, that want bigger builds and have deeper pockets that most of our crowd just can't compete with. If you are in business the margin on a 25k engine is a much more appealing prospect than a $400-500 bolt on tune.

Big shops don't like the do it yourself guys and want the project start to finish allowing them to know what is done and how it's done. I get a lot of problem cars due to the fact the customers cut corners and it turns out being a problem on the dyno.
