you'd be surprised how much people don't know about their cars. hell, even people who like to go fast don't know that an R compound tire is better for autocrossing - they assume since the technology started on the 1/4 mile track, then that's where it belongs. once you put sticky tires on all four corners, even two cars that were evenly matched prior to the rubber change are not quite so afterwards. also, what's the difference between a 10,000 mile tire and a 50,000 mile tire? why wouldn't a 50,000 mile tire make a good quartermile track tire?
and, since most people take their car to meineke (not a bad thing) when doing exhaust modifications, and don't attempt it in their driveway, and the other shows basically gloss over exhaust changes, they really have very little concept how the twists and turns go together (or why you'd need them, why not just a straight pipe?).
both of these ideas would make excellent segments.
