Thats where I may luck out though, I have a single story ranch and the one zone is actually 2 large loops. One for the bedrooms/baths, and the other for living room/dining/kitchen. The main boiler feed out goes about 10' along the ceiling of the unfinished part of the basement then splits to each zone. Both loops have separate return lines with shut off and drains valves already. The only changes I would need to make is to cut the pipes and add the zone valves, and of course a second thermostat. The details would be in checking to see about the furnace, if it would be ok running just one zone and the burn times so it doesn't short cycle. I may need to drop the boiler temp from 180 to 160/170.
