Need a *cough* inspection sticker

So, my car failed horribly. Besides emissions, they said my steering column was loose. And wrote it on the ticket. WTF is that! i dont even know how i could possibly fix that aside from welding it solid. Next, they said my horn didnt work, was too hard to push. I dont know how to fix that either, besides telling them to let someone inspect the car who isnt so girly. I also failed for my back brakes, which apparently work fine. The ebrake locks the tires up, the shoes are fine and adjusted correctly. I cant afford to fix all this **** and/or get a ticket...as its a 20 mile drive to work. anyone know a place that may be a little more leinient? (and still legal )

Yea I too would also need an inspection sticker also, I failed the first time for a gas cap loud exhaust and my windshield wipers don't work. I fixed the gas cap, made the exhaust quieter, but the wipers are pretty expensive and even if I went back they would still complain about the exhaust. Any recommendations??

on 3rd gens, there are 4 torqs screws in the column that work loose. its rather tedious to get to though, everything has to come out. what exactly did they say failed with the rear brakes?

werd. u might have to watch out since you went to a state inspection station private inspection stations may be less lenient on things...or not lenient at all.

Let me know how it goes when the column falls apart while you are driving. Hint, it ain't fun. Fix the car. Emissions is one thing, safety is another.
