2nd car! Camaro is officially a WEEKEND WARRIOR!

Camaro'n Diaz is being retired to Weekend duty. No more Snow for my Daily Driver of 5 years!
And the lucky winner is...

Kaboom!
Gonna change the foglights back to clear and raise it a couple inches closer to stock. New Daily Driver.
Eventually get some VHT NS on those taillights.

Nice! The only car shows I've attended these past few years are VW shows. I have a sweet spot for those cars. The MKV GTI is a great car. I've driven my friend's 05 many times.
Just a quick heads up with any low car, check the underbody for damage or scratches to the subframe or rails and throw some paint on there so nothing gets rusty. An alignment rack may be of help to you too. You'd be very surprised.

Nice, should make for a fun DD.
I still wish they would offer a "GTDI"...all the fun of the GTI, with the diesel. My friend picked up a new 4dr Golf TDI earlier this year to replace his '05 Mini S and he loves it.

 | They do, it's called the GTD and is offered overseas. It's essentially a GTI with all the sporty suspension bits and the GTI interior and bodywork with the diesel motor. FYI, the TDI offered here has suspension bits that are more similar to the GTI than to the regular Golf.
I looked into purchasing a Golf TDI about a month ago to replace my Vue but couldn't justify the cost, even with the gas prices where they are now and the ridiculous amount of driving I have been doing. Actually, I couldn't even justify the cost over a similarly equipped Cruze.

Thanks for the tip QuickZ. I'll definitely give it a thorough lookover. The car is already being raised to damn near stock height (::cries a bit, wishes life weren't so cruel: so I won't have to worry about any potholes, coolman. I hope! I'll do some preventative maintenance if I see any early signs of rust facilitation.

Whattup AROCK!

Holy crapamoli @ that GTD. I would DEFINITELY go for that if it were an option (an in my price range). Even the regular Diesels hold their value more than the GTI, but I'm not about to go from a car that does 0-60 in 5 to one that goes 0-60 in 15!
This car is Stage II, only tasteful bolton's and an ECU flash. No boost raising and nothing long term damaging to the car. It's probably a good 100hp difference from the SS to the wheels? But add the turbo and the improved miles per gallon and I think you guys are right it's going to be a fun DD.

Don't even have it home yet! First thing I'll do is probably take off those rims and put on the winter set on the stock wheels. BEFORE IT GETS TOO COLD

And my friend is averaging ~44mpg with his since he bought it (he's got the DSG).

Noodles- do you live in North Jersey? There is a shop in NY that isn't too far from the border that does the DSG service for significantly cheaper than the dealer. Check out VWVortex for it when you need to do the service, as the name slips my mind.
