I bought a GM aux input from PIE from my 04 Impala. Plugged the harness into the radio and have IPOD through the aux button.

one cord goes to the back of the radio the other i snaked down to the whole i cut in the box. it is just held in by the pressure of the radio and air duct, it makes it easier to adjust wires if one comes loose(which is hasnt yet)

you can see the wire comes out of that little ash tray thingy next to the cig lighter. the cord is abt 3ft long, the passengers in the backseat can use it if need be. the box, converter thing is just wedged in between the air duct and the radio behind the plastic cover, ill get more pics tomorrow.

no it shouldnt make a difference. that little box is not taped or screwed, its just chilling there. it is forced in between the air duct and radio and the pressure just holds it there. you could really put it anywhere and secure it with velcro or double sided tape. i just put it there for ease of access if something came loose

Reviving this thread cause I have a similar question but can't seem to find what I would need on USA spec. Looking to set up a hook-up to my iphone to play music through my factory radio. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what I would need to get and how to do it. Much appreciated.
