Ported out the Throttle Body

Got bored the other day and ported out the throttle body. Didnt take that long. Bout 45-1hr for each one. then spend another hour with sandpaper smoothing it out.

You ought to get one of those injector spacers. They lift up the injectors a little which helps get more air into the bores. Pretty cheap and might be worth 1 or 2 hp.

easiest way to space the injector tower is to just put an extra gasket under it. the hold down screws are long enough to reach through 2 gaskets.

looks like you did a good job. one time i had teh top of a tb shaved flat by a machine shop to save myself time. wasn't really worth it though. 99% of the time is in the rolling of the edge into teh throat anyway.

A dremel was my friend.

Not like there is any noticable difference.
I was planning on putting 93 octane in and seeing if I can squeeze any more timing out of it, but at 2.03 for 87, 2.19 for 89 and 2.29 for 93....regular is going to have to do for now.

i used my dremel a lot too. i always liked to do the finish shaping with sand paper though. once you make a nice edge with a dremel you can make it smooth as glass with wet 800 grit.
i still have 3 or 4 tb's here. i have one started that will go to malibu79 when it is done.
the rest of them i will clean, prep, and sell on ebay.
