People who listen to Metal, Hardcore, Rock....

Im trying to find some people who would be down to go to random shows in NYC, sayreville, phily wherever theres a good band. If your into metal, hardcore, rock post up along with the bands that you listen to. Cuz i need some ppl to go to shows with that arent afraid to **** some **** up in a pit.
Btw: im posting this because all my boys went to school and the kids at school all listen to rap and are pussies.

unearth, killswitch, in flames, soilwork, agony scene, as i lay dying, bleeding through, old metallica, burden of grief, chimaira, lamb of god, manntis, red chord, trivium, throwdown, hatebreed so much ****in more

Throwdown, bury your dead, EVERGREEN TERRACE, trivium, 3 inches of blood, atreyu, avenged sevenfold, comeback kid, poison the well, rise against, sick of it all, the banner, unearth, a wilhelm scream.

I cant do much damage in the pits, but I'll still go in 'em

I love going to shows

The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville seems to have some of the best venues show up all year, and is easy to get to. In fact, some bands go there to test some of their newest stuff - Black Label Society and Disturbed have done this.

They also have a lot of 80's throw-backs show up there too. For example, Queensryche is still touring and regularly stops there, so does Ratt. ::feels old::

i'm done with the pit. i used to **** some **** up, and get ****ed up, but that's all over now. last pit i was in was the monsters of rock tour - anthrax and slayer were the best to mosh to, but alice in chains was ok, too. the headliners were metallica and you couldn't get near the center of the pit. the whole floor, practically, was the pit (saw them in philly at the EFF-YOU center (or whatever they call it now)).

i've seen metal bands at the birch hill (like anthrax sans charlie) and there is no furniture in the place for just that reason. you also can't get to the stage (no stagedives) and the whole place has a sunken center for the pit. very extreme pit, i might add.

lol. this thread is cracking me up.
too bad most of you here are far too young to remeber teh greatest rock club ever, City Gardens. the building is still there, 1701 calhoun street in trenton.
i saw napalm death, nuclear assault, the ramones about 30 times, gwar, ween, death knock, eye for an eye, insted, youth brigade, dead milkmen, punch drunk, the necros, mad ball, black flag, agnostic front, trapped, mouth piece, bouncing souls(even saw them under their original name, bigger thomas)..............the list goes on forever.
it was a great place to see a show. other than the 2 bars teh rest of teh place was teh floor. they had a total of 3 tables and maybe 10 chairs in teh whole building, and all of them were at the back bar.

anyone who likes metal shoudl also check out breath of silence. they work out of patterson, i grew up with the lead guiterist. good ****, their new album just came out. they are on myspace if anyone wants to ehar a sample

later
tim

breath of silence - interesting. why don't new bands allow people to download their tunes? it's almost as if the "metallica attitude" has permeated throughout the whole of music. anyway, good stuff. reminds me of '80s death metal, but with more technical proficiency.

Too bad I caught this post show: I was at two shows at the Starland Ballroom last week:

Sunday the 21st I saw Unwritten Law, Papa Roach, and 311.

Friday the 26th I saw Dark New Day (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), Crossfade, and Seether.

The Friday night show was inside, and I had no clue about that place. Absolutely loved the inside of the Starland Ballroom.

Katie and I are thinking of going to the Trapt/Blindside show later this year.
