WTF? Am I right to be pissed off?

I just got back to my apartment from work, and a new dog greets me at my door. one of my roommates went out and got a shelter dog and didn't tell me and one other girl about it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE dogs, but I have a kitten, I told them before hand about the kitten, the roommate that I share a room with has a bird and a rat. We have a f*ckin zoo. That part isnt really whats bothering me though.

The problem is, this dog isnt trained at all, other than POSSIBLY house broken. He's rowdy, rambunctious, jumps, barks. We're not even allowed to have pets bigger than a rabbit, but the cat is real quiet, so even though its taking a risk having him, the chances of getting caught are slim. Now that there's a dog, people will hear barking, running, jumping, report it to an RA (these are on-campus apartments) and we'll ALL get fined.

I don't want this dog to ruin my cat for his life. He's only going to be here for two weeks, because the girl is graduating, and apparently that is her graduation present. But something like this in a very young cats life, I would think could completely change his personality. As of now, he is the most friendly affectionate cat i've ever had. He's STARTING to get used to my Akita when I bring him home, but thats because she's very docile and usually lets him sniff around. I went to introduce cat to new dog, and new dog freaked out, which made cat freak out and put a hole in my hand. I can't stand the idea of keeping him locked in a bedroom the whole two weeks that this dog his here, so wtf am I supposed to do? I've been so careful so far to raise this cat right, so that he comes out to be essentially the cat I want him to be, and so far so good. Now this.

I'd be pissed if the person had no respect towards your want to keep the cat safe. I think everyone should have agreed on this before she brought the surprise home. Just my $.02

what he said... but i think you should give it a shot for her sake. i mean, it is only for two weeks

Two weeks isn't too long, however it still sucks that the dog was brought into the apartment without the owner asking roommate's permission first.

i wudnt worry about the cat too much... kittens have a week memory span when theyre younger... just give him lots of attention when your not in class. its only 2 weeks. he shud be fine. id just keep him away from the dog as much as possible. i remember when we added my second cat to the fam. the older cat(he was still less then a year)... was really over powering him. then about a week or 2 later he forgot about it and midnight and angel were great together. lol.
