I Was younger once too.....
And yeah I did silly things........My first car was 1974 dodge charger with a 1967 383ci.
I knew nothing about suspensions (I just added rear air shocks to jack-it-up for the Big fat tires) I cared nothing about braking (any extra $$ I had went into horespower!) I knew nothing about handling (A car should have small tires in front and Big fat ones in the rear ..that way I can slide around corners..then GUN the engine to get the rear to come around!!  )
All i knew was trying to get some SPEED...which brings me back to the "ricers".... Why????
I too was young ,but get next to me at a red light or anywhere else in town and my souped-up 500hp bigblock was liable to "BLOW YOUR DOORS OFF!!"
I new what I wanted (to go fast) and I chose a car/engine made to do it...not a honda 4-banger!!!

my first car was a 4dr 73 dodge coronet custom, with a 2bbl 318. i wanted to make it fast, then i finally relaized it was a 4dr mopar... so after driving it a month after i turned 17, i got my 88 Trans am GTA(ttops digital dash 305tpi auto) and ive been hooked on f bodies since...

BTW my first car (fastest 1/4 mi 11.89) was named "The Black Beast"
That was actually written in aribac letters across the trunk lid, the Cam was so radical that made this "rapping" sound at idle..everyone said.."Damn that thing sounds like some kind of beast!!"

Hey Lets take it easy on him.
he is 14 ..his car is a Beast(I had a moped at 15!)
And its cool at his age to own his own hot-rod and have such an interest in cars like he does. (even though he poked fun at v6's such as mine...Hmm hey Kid wanna race??!  )

poking fun of v6's was a joke..theres nothing wrong with v6's, in fact when I first bought the car 2 of my spark plug wires werent even on the spark plugs....... cbr has been flaming on me from day one so...I think hes just mad cause he didnt have a car when he was 14... I dont really care even though it does hurt my feelings that this is happing cause its been happining on every forum Im on/was on..it was either poking fun of the way the car looked (why I got a paint job when i did) the engine or me... sorry for the rant..

I'm gonna lay it out for you. You do hijack threads sometimes which can piss people off. You do post whore, but there are a ton of those on this site, myself included. And you're car isn't exactly the epitome of a hot rod. People are gonna make fun of you throughout your entire life. People make fun of me everyday, but I rarely get bent out of shape about it. its just something everyone has to deal with. I get made fun of here a lot for the time I got stuck off roading with my jeep. I learned to laugh it off because it is my friends just having a laugh, not a big deal. if some one does become hurtful with the comments, PM them and let them know you dont feel comfortable. if that doesnt work, PM an admin and they will take care of it.

*ahem* im not that mad that i didnt have a car at 14 (oops thats unless the 1st gen in my garage counts) since i see no point in owning somthing that i would have to sit and be tempted to do somthing stupid in for three years before i could legally touch it off my property.
and well being on my 3rd f-body, through a mustang, a honda cbr, and owning a pickup as a daily driver. i guess if made up the 3 year head start you had on me.... oh wait the new truck will be here in april so you can add one to that . and i dont owe my parents a DIME. Weather i had a car at 14 or not dosent matter too much, all that does is on my 17th birthday when i got home from dmv i had a fully paid for 4th gen sitting there waiting to go for a nice ride.

busting balls is a way of life for some people. they roll outta bed and start busting balls. they continue to bust balls until their eyes close at night. you learn to live with people like that. the off comment about a **** brown car or whatever should be taken in stride (guilty as charged) or you will spend most of your time upset over what someone else said about your car. there are those who make comments just to get a rise outta you when they know it will work. those are best ignored. they do eventually go away.
that said, this place is very laid back. almost no ball busting happens unless you are short, get stuck in a puddle or have an obsession about a certain female that doesn't post anymore. i've been on some boards that were non-stop ball busting, and this place is very calm and sedate in comparison. it's gonna take some time, but learn not to take everything so personally. it most often is not meant as a personal attack - more of just passing the time and "hey, how ya doin'?" kinda thing.
