Motley Crue, Firehouse, Poison, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Warrant, 80's Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio / Tony Martin, Dokken, Alice Cooper, Skid Row
and yeah, of course...
.. Whitesnake
Have em all in my car now.
Never once had a mullet though. Honest.
Still gotta plug BLS. Play them way more than any hair band.

Magic Power. One of my favorite bootlegs is the 1983 US Festical - Heavy Metal day. Quiet Riot, Motely Crue, Ozzy, Scorpions, Triumph, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne (with Jake E Lee!) and 'The MIghty Van Halen!'
I was never a big hair band fan. I did like Whitesnake, but that stems more from being a Deep Purple/Led Zep fan. Plus Still Of The Night hit in my high school years. Early Twisted Sister (like Under The Blade) rocks. And the 1st Tesla record. And the Def Leppard record High & Dry. They went 'hair' after that record.

You gotta love hair bands from that era. I love the heavier stuff, too, and have been to all kinds of concerts.....and I have to say Bon Jovi puts on probably the best show I've seen. A couple summers ago in Giants Stadium, in the pouring rain, the crowd was almost drowning out the band from singing at the top of their lungs! Def Leppard was great at the Blue Claws stadium this year, too. I hope the Blue Claws host more shows like that. Easy in, easy out and 1st come 1st serve seating....can't beat it

one of the original power trios. them and rush, natch.
it's funny how as time moves on the 'categories' and lines get blurred.
motley crue==hair band
dio!=hair band
poison==hair band
iron maiden!=hair band
one more: metallica!=hair band. yes, they did come through that era, yes they had hair. no, they are nothing like the flash in the pan bands of the '80s.
