Devils vs rangers
i thought this series deserves its own thread.  any of the rangers fans would like to tell me what the score to the game was?  i remember some were saying that rangers would walk all over devils, i guess they didnt get the memo

well it was 6 to 1 when i stoped watching it and game ended at about the same time. let me guess on monday you're gonna say that there's always game 3

actually if Monday goes the way today did, i'm just gonna tell myself the season ended early this year and i missed it

Towards the end the rangers were just head huntign tryin to hurt our good players for monday. But we took it!! Just like were goin to take game 2, 3, and 4. Rangers better get the golf clubs out! I got tickets to game 2 monday if anyone else might be goin let me know

Yesterday's game sucked. We took too many bad penalties and lost our cool in the end. But I'm not backing out on my team. The Rangers and Devils have met 3 times prior in the playoffs, and the Rangers have won every series, two of which went 7 games. I think I remember hearing that the Rangers also lost the first game of those 3 series....I know that's in the past, but just to throw it out there. And yeah, it's cliche, but it's only the first game. Until we see what happens on Monday, that's where I'm leaving it.

we met 3 times before, yea i know that but when was the last time rangers were in the playoffs? like 10 years ago? you know teams are kinda different now and it doesnt matter what happened 10 or so years ago rangers are gonna get their asses handed to them and ill be there to see it

Actually it was 9 years ago...jk Yeah, I know the teams are completely different now...hell Gretzky was on the team the last time we met. You guys got game 1, congrats. Just don't start celebrating yet. The series is far from over.

um..memories...last time me and my friends went to a Devils game they showed us on the BFTV (big ****ing tv) and got our seats upgraded. lets see if we can get their attention again

Notice that I brought the other thread back to life, despite the ass-kicking my Rangers took. Rangers had a good season, 1st one in a long time, so I won't cry. Too bad they died end of season. 3 weeks ago this would have been better hockey, although I am not sure why they suddenly look so bad.
I said before I thought game 1 was very important to the Rangers. It seems they did not listen to me. I predicted NJ in 5 last week, and I thnk I will stick to that.

John Madden scoring 3 goals, 2 of them shorthanded, to lead them to a 4-1 victory!!!
Plus the defense was PHENOMINAL(including a big penalty kill at the end of the second period which led to Madden's second goal)!!! And Marty made the save of the year!!!
The Rangers played better than Game 1, but it still wasn't enough!!! Now it's on to NY to sweep them at home!!
