Open Headers
I just installed my Jet Hot Longtubes this weekend. I ordered the TSP true dual system, but it wont be here until monday. So I have to run open headers for a couple days. Has anyone here run open headers and been hit by the cops? I'm trying to keep the RPMs down, but its still loud as hell.

lol yeah its gonna depend on the cops really...open headers are loud even at idle...anything over idle is just obnoxious...I would say only go on the roads if its really needed, only before 10pm and if you see a cop go the other way.

yeah they could get you on a bunch of different offenses anything from noise pollution to having no cats to whatever else.

I would advise against it... however I rode with my friend down to Trenton at 1am to mufflex, which was also very ill advised. Fact is, it needed a y-pipe and that was the only way to get it there. If you see a cop I'd honestly just kill the car, dont even idle it past him if the situation allows for it. I've seen plenty right now with my TDs, even had a few follow me at night, dont drive like an idiot and you should be alright (I'm talking about duals, with open LTs, quiet is...off)
