nerd help needed

I cant go online with my computer. the one in the basement works fine as does my little brothers' computer, but mine wont connect to the internet or log on to AIM. I'm connected to the wireless network with very good signal strength, but no internet. thoughts?

thats what ended up fixing it

I was gonna BFH it, but I figured I probably shouldnt. I had to take the DVD drive out on monday because a disc got stuck in there and wouldn't eject

this is more like the help desk "hello, could you please hold on a second?" puts you on hold for 45min while the ******* goes out to eat, comes back, takes you off of hold "Whats wrong with your computer? sorry i dont know how to fix that. thanks for calling customer support"
