is a manual cutout before a bullet muffler worth it?

ive been thinking about this setup for awhile... im gonna have my exhaust welded onto my car within the next week and have the guys (theyre my brothers friends) chop my cat off and replace it with a bullet muffler. ive been thinkin about putting a manual cutout before the bullet for track use only. would this really be worth the $50+? would i see any gains at all?

i doubt it would help, bullet mufflers are plenty efficiant for your application. do you still have a cat on the cat? putting it before the cat would be a big help.

cat on the cat tim?? yea the stock cats still on there thats why when im gettin the exhaust welded up is said "theyre choppin the cat off" put your glasses on and read next time old man!

ive read places (mainly on fullthrottle) that the muffler is also a bottleneck in the exhaust so thats where the cutout b4 the cat idea came from...

Bullet mufflers aren't really mufflers.

Yeppers. You probably won't gain much from the cutout which makes buying an electric one a waste of money.

The electric cut-out on my car has been a champ, the only time It gave me trouble was when I had a ****** turn-down on it that the butterfly plate got cought on a few times.

trust me, there is a huge difference in teh tone and volume if there is no bullet muffler there. the bullet quiets it down a lot.
