Got a ride in the ambulance last night....
Jeez...... lately my life has been a bit tough.... and yesterday SUCKED!!!!
In the past 2-3 weeks the following has happened:
Firebird destroyed by flood
Sold my neon
House was flooded with 5 feet of water on 1st floor
Spent many days straight cleaning out all the flood damage stuff.
Fiance's wedding dress was at a local wedding shop being adjusted.... and the store was flooded and dress destroyed
Started new job
Lost a HUGE amount of personal stuff in flood (along w/ washer, dryer, water heater, furnace, well pump)
Started getting worn out/ sick/ run down about a week ago and on Tuesday had to be driven home and slept for about 19 hours straight... I typically sleep about 5-6 hrs a night.
So.... tonight I am supposed to be at my close buddies wedding... I'm one of the groomsmen.... but I cannot attend the wedding.
I took Thursday off for the rehersal dinner and friday off for the wedding.
Thursday... I wake up at 9 am.... get out of bed... and black out and collapse.... a short while later I try and get up again and black out and collapse. I collapsed right onto the bed which was good.
I was like... WTF???? 9:30 comes and I finally get out of bed and sit down w/ some food and gatorade.
I start to feel a bit better throughout the day.
I go out to my fiance's car... change the spark plugs.... solve an idle issue.... decide to go for a quick drive and start feeling iffy again so I come home and relax n have more gatorade.
She comes home and we decide to get a new A/C - our big one was destroyed in the flood and it was 78 degrees in the house!!!! So, we go to home depot... use a gift card (from the recent bridal shower)... come home and I crash on the bed...
I'm all light headed and feel like I'm going to pass out. At first I thought it might pass.... but I give in and say we need to go to urgent care as it got much worse... I try and sit up and fall over all dizzy again. We decide to wait till my 2 close friends show up and help me into the car to take me to the doc.
They get here... I try again and can't even sit up under my own strength and get all dizzy and almost black out. We tried a couple times and each time I just couldn't do it.
I knew at this point there was something wrong as I couldn't even support myself and sit up on my own.....well..... against all my options I say call the ambulance.
I dunno how long it was till the ambulance got there.... 2 guys had to pretty much carry me to the ambulance. A stretcher wouldn't have been an option due to the shape of the door way and deck. They put me on oxygen and take me the the hospital.
I got there around 3 or 4... they ran a bazillion tests... EKG.. blood work... cat scan... yada yada yada... and everything came back normal.
They originally planned on keeping me the night but all results were good so they released me around 12 or 1.
I have to go to a nuerologist now and also an ENT doc. The hospital guiessed at either vertigo or maybe with all the flooding that happened and my exposure due to clean up I got a virus/ parosite.
I slept for 9 hrs last night.... been in kinda a daze today...I missed my buddies rehersal dinner to his wedding last night....I'm missing his wedding right now.... I told my fiance to go to the wedding and I said I wouldn't move around to much... the wedding is only 10 min away from my house so if there is an emergency then she is close.
If I walk around/ do too much I get a bit dizzy. I'm taking vertigo meds now... drinking gatorade...feel worn out and beat....I can't do anything for the next several days... gotta see the neurologist next week.
What a pile of crap! Also... it is 3 weeks till my wedding?!?!?!
Ok.... sitting here typiing this has worn me out and must go sit down..... ugh, I'm dizzy.
Yesterday was such a blur to me.....

Wow....you have really not had good luck lately James. Sucks that you have to miss Gene's wedding, that must be very rough on you.
Hope you start feeling better soon!

Wow man. Hope ya feel better. That dark cloud hanging over your head doesnt seem to be disappearing anytime soon. Thats happened to me when I was in high school, except in my case, I broke out in a massive rash all over my face, and the rash eventually traveled into my eyes. You can seriously see the rash moving very slowly towards my cornea So I got rushed to the hospital and they ran tests, put me on Vancomicin (sp?) and I ended up having a serious allergic reaction to it They thought it was some type of infection on the walls of my heart, but it turned out to be a virus of some type, and disappeared within the next cpl days. Keep that gatorade next to ya, cuz it will be your friend til u get better. GL

Yeah, Thursday sucked. James missing Gene's wedding...that sucked too...if he was just a guest, eh, whatever...but he was a groomsmen...but yeah, his health comes first.
At least he did this 4 weeks before our wedding, not the day before. Hopefully we'll figure this all out.
