gauging interest- 1988 Firebird Formula 5 speed

I'm considering selling my '88 formula since all this body restoration on my 4th gen is bothering me and i wont have time in the spring to paint the formula. It's a 1988 Firebird Formula, red, ttops, brand new carpet, 4th gen camaro seat swap, reupholstered back seat. 305 tpi was rebuilt 40,000 miles ago, trans rebuilt 20,000 miles ago.

The clear coat is peeling not a big deal...knock it down with a DA and have it repainted. I forget how many miles are on the body, i'll check tomorrow in the daylight. Flowmaster single outlet exhaust. The interior is CLEAN. Black with red trim, though a slight tear, more like the seam seperating on the driver bolstering (when does that NOT happen???) The red was a bit much so i started pulling off a few trim pieces to return to the stock black look.

When i bought the car, i was told the synchros needed to be replaced...the trans grinds into 2nd and 3rd, and occasionally reverse. It was hit in the driver side fender, and the fender was replaced. The fender, half the driver door and hood is in primer. I have a stock Green hood for the formula that i'll be selling with it, unless you want the fiberglass 2" pin on cowl hood thats on there.

The car has been sitting in my driveway covered since september...I do try to start it often and occasionally have the trickle charger on it.

I replaced the thermostat, distributer cap and rotor when i got it. I have plug wires as well, but the current ones look fairly new. The thermostat housing was RTV'd when i bought it, and i took it off when i replaced the thermostat and now has a pinhole leak of coolant. The threads are just stripped and need to be re-threaded. If you have a tap and die kit, this will be an easy job.

I've been told that a 305 tpi 5 speed in the formulas are fairly rare.

I really cant tell you too much else as i have never driven the car. I hate to part with it, but i'd love to make room for something else now.

i'd like to get $2,000 obo.

ask any question if you have any.

stock hood thats sitting on my 84 right now.
