Question rust repair

the Z has 2 small rust bubbles on the passenger side A pillar that id like to take care of. i found the correct touch up paint online for $25 a can so i wanna do it once and do it right lol. other then sanding away the rust, priming, sanding, and painting, what else should i do?

sand the rust out... then get some rust converter... its like a prime that you brush on and it sopposed to change the corrosive properties of the rust... its gotta sit for like a day tho before you prime over it.... then shoot some primer (etch prime if needed on not rusty bare metal) then filler prime then wetsand and spray... no real way to get rid of rust bubbles with out sanding if thats what you were asking?>
