does the saleen s7 have anything to do with ford? as far as i know its an original design and all but i dunno about the engine...and what type of engines do the saleen mustang use, are they fords?
im sure these sound like dumb questions but i cant get straight answers and im quite curious

Saleen Mustangs use the Ford 4.6L V8. The S281 Extreme has a Stage 6 supercharger, forged pistons, rods, and crank, and ported and polished heads, making 550HP.

No....the engine is LSx based, and Saleen built the rest of the car from the ground up.

im sure the legnth had something to do with aerodynamics though....because apparently this thing can generate enough downforce at about 160mph to stick to the road upside down!
it was wind tunnel designed after all
