what is everyone reading?

over winter break i discovered a new passion for reading. i'm currently reading a few books. the one i read most often is Democracy in America by Alexis de Tocqueville, and the supplementary reading Tocqueville in America by George Pierson; but those are for a seminar class. independently, i've gotten most involved with Christian Apologetic writing and i'm reading Michael Licona's Paul meets Muhammad which is a theoretical debate between Paul the Apostle and Muhammad the Prophet as well as my second Lee Strobel book The Case for the Real Jesus. all are really good books. Anyone else been doing some reading?

I'm reading Michael Chrichtons "Next." I love his books, so this should be pretty good.

currently reading "ninja" by eric van lustbader and "holley carburetors" by mike urich and bill fisher, and part of the collection of HP Books, in addition to my normal monthly magazine subscriptions.

sometimes i have more of an interest in fiction books, and i have quite the collection including books by stephen king, john grisham, david balducci, john saul and dean koontz.

Currently in the middle of The Chronicles of Narnia for the second time. Regulary read Footprints of Thunder and Thunder in Time. Finished Harry Potter series for the second time. I'm also a big Clive Cussler fan the Dirk Pitt series. Also as always in the middle of any number of airbrushing books.

Text books mostly right now. Mindblindness: An Essay on Autism and Theory of Mind (for a presentation). Counseling Children and Adolescents. Assessment for Intervention. Teaching students with severe disabilities. Clinical interviews for children and adolescents. Conducting school-based functional behavioral assessments. Plus a multitude of articles on the different topics. Of course, that's when I actually do the readings for class.

I'd love to get back into leisure reading. I enjoy philosophy type stuff, fictional works that require thought while reading, etc. But I don't have the time nor energy to do those while in grad school full time and working full time. So they wait until 2009 when I graduate.

I'm reading all school books right now. I have about 4 for 3 classes that I have to read a little each week. I am actually enjoying one Teacher Man by Frank McCourt, for my Anthropology of Teaching class.

Before the semester started I was reading a Steven Coonts spy thriller.
