finally another f-body
bought an 89 gta 5spd with digital dash!!!! needs lil work but its a start. 5spd digital dash isnt easiest thing to find,gonna need front bumper cover,2 fenders and 2 MINT doors.. im gonna be picky bout this one lol its gonna be my last.#40 to be exact lol.

I remember back in college when they first came out with those digital dash cars. Both of my neighbors went out and bought new 1989 T/A's. One got the 5 speed 305 car and the other got the Auto 350. I cna't remember which one had the digital dash or if both of them did.

ty its a gta but ive got plans to change that.. i want it to look like the first ta i ever had white and black. its burgandy now thats just too common so ill do it a lil different lol

My first 87 GTA parts car had a digital dash. Nothing special. Tach is goofy and the oil/fuel/water meters are a pain to comprehend at a glance.
I forgot I have it, the interior harness and most of the body harness still in my attic. heh.

well i bought it!!!! runs awesome!!!! has airtubed headders which is a plus also has the one piece vette tubes on the tpi ( the actuall runners,) new maf high volume oil pump also plus the motor and trans has only 30000 orig on it. car has 91000 on it.black cloth interior,not to big on the steering wheel as it has tons of button but hey it was worth it.has viper alarm also,he took out locks filled them in???? pics up soon hope this one treats me better then the rest did lol

I had an 87 Toyota 4Runner turbo with a digital dash. Kinda tough to get used to those bar gauges and the numbers for the speed vs a needle. And on sunny days you couldn't read any of it. But as long as it works, leave it as is.

You know my 87 IROC had a digital dash. I always thought that was after market. So did GM really have those installed factory?

digital dash camaros were out there. IIRC, if the a/c controls were all push button up by the gauges, it was factory, otherwise it was aftermarket. i dont think 87 irocs had em, and as for birds, i was under the impression only 87 an 88 had the digital dash option in trans ams and gtas.

My 87 Iroc had it and never asked the owner about it when he gave it to me. I got it in return for unpaid work I did for him at the time. I am talking 96 here too lol. It looked like it was stock because it was worn out and some of the lights were out.

Now that you mention it, I think it was spring of 88 that my neighbors both got their new T/A's. I bounced around in several different apartment complexes while in college so keeping the years straight isn't easy.

this is the only factory camaro digital dash produced....
as for the gta/trans ams, one site said the digital dash option became available in '86.
