Economic Stimulus Checks coming sooner than planned...

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Econo...4718901&page=1

Looks like direct deposits will begin next week, rather than in 2 weeks. Not sure if they are planning the same order (by last 2 digits of SSN: 00-20 first, 21-75 next, 75-99 last), but start looking in those accounts for that money.

Dunno about when those who didn't provide direct deposit will get their paper checks. But probably sooner than expected.

too bad that next year our tax returns will be short by this amount we will be getting within the next few weeks. so even though ur getting extra money your really not its just coming out of your pocket from next year.......bush and all of his bullsh1t.....

A. In the event you do not qualify for the full amount on your 2007 return but you do on your 2008 return, you will need to have the letter as a record of the amount you previously received. [New 4/11/08]

Q. Will the payment I receive in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe for 2008?

A. No, the Stimulus Payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return.

i guess its too late now but how could you have signed up for direct deposit? I never saw a form in the letter they sent out. (you know that letter they spent 42million to send out to everyone just to say ur checks are coming.)

I believe it's based on whether you had your refund direct deposited. I think they just take the info from there.

I dunno about that. I'm 09 and didn't get anything yet. I'd figure they'd do it 00-10 or something, not just 00.

Part of it is probably where they are mailing them from. People in the vicinity of the mail center with an 00-10 may have gotten theirs.

Paper checks aren't coming for another couple weeks. Direct deposit is coming first.
