New Job FTW
pending my physical and drug test tomarrow morning, ill be starting training as a part time police dispatcher in Bogota, huge foot in the door is all im happy about, i dont even know or care what they pay me lol.
since its part time, its basically you sign up at the begining of each month to cover for full timers that need off or are on vacation so i can still work my regular crappy hours at shoprite most of the time, but also remaining on call if a full timer calls out sick or watnot.
i took all the required dispatcher courses on my own, paid for by my FD hehe, over the last 2 years, and they were very impressed, mostly cuz they wont have to pay me to sit at the academy for 2 weeks, or wait for the classes to be given.
the bad is.... i have one class left at bergen for my associates and i am enrolled for this summer semester during the day, which looks like it will conflict with training, so i hope i can find another slot open at night... ohh well

Congrats on the new job! And even if it's what you want, make sure you still get that degree finished up, no matter what you have to do with the schedule. Good luck!

yup plan to move on up the ranks, one more class and ill have my associates in crimiinal justice, im just waiting to be a lil older, and i have to take the LEE, law enforcement entry exam / civil service test coming up this next month

i just called to see whats up cuz they never got back to me and it turned out the training officer is too busy so the chief is assigning a different one and i should be hearing back from them "shortly" about scheduling me
