				So is it price gouging

when gas goes up $.15 a gallon in one day? WTH? This is BS. I don't care about the hurricane in the gulf, the gas at the pumps right now was purchased 2 months ago! I bet this causes gas to run up to $4.50 to $5.

Thats nothing its insane here in NC. Gas has been around $3.63 for the last month. Today its as high as $4.60. Some gas prices bumped their price between 30-50cents for now while some went as much as a $1. I drove past a few gas stations they either have crazy lines or they are sold out. I just filled up for preminum for $4.29 and thats a bargin, by tomorrow morning that should be around $4.80 here. This is hurting my wallet. What happened to the so said gas will dip below $3. Now they say the hurricane is making this happen. People need to straighten their rearends because when winter comes how will people afford heating oil for their homes when filling up their family cars to go to work, school, and mowing the grass.
Im out im going to bed

dude moderate to high volume gas stations get loads more often then every two months. i'm sure its all the same gas in the storage tanks at the refineries, but not underground at the station. still bs but its how the game is played!

It was 3.26 for cash at Getty yesterday. It went to 3.46 when I went by it a few hours later.
Someone is making billions. Gas prices are still to high vs what they were last time oil was 100 bucks a barrel.
Last time gas was at 100, price per gallon was under 3.
Last time gallon was 3.46, oil was 125 I belive.
Someone is cashing in...and American's are just taking it in the mouth.

Hasn't anybody heard that "Prices always shoot up like a rocket, but only fall like a feather". I got 2 words for you-PRICE GOUGING, plain and simple. The price of oil stayed at 99-100 bucks a barrel, yet wholesale gas price futures went from $3. to $4.85 yesterday all in one day.

Well it usually takes 1 1/2 -2 years to refine crude oil to gasonline. In 2006-2007 it was 50-65 a barrel. That's one of the many ways exxon mobile as well as others (including huge tax breaks that they're pocketing) are able to make billions of dollars profit. they're charging 3.5 a gallon when it should be about 2.25 or so even with inflation. Can you imagine how expensive its gonna be when it comes time to actually pay for the $200 a barrel it cost them?? $5 maybe $6?? I dont want to make this political.. but some say to drill. Well, whos gonna pay for it? Its gonna take 3-5 years from the time they get the go ahead to the time they actually start pulling oil. Who's gonna pay the billions its gonna cost for the exploration and the infrastructure and all the other costs of drilling? You think they're gonna be noble and take moneyu out of their profits and pay for it? HA no way. They're gonna ask for more tax breaks and charge more. More reason for us to go hardcore with other types of fuel AND drill on a smaller scale. That way we have various options of fuels. And the little oil we'll need, we're getting from the good ol US of A so we'll actually be paying what it should cost....Let china go nuts over oil......
speculation is such a scam...high wind strikes refinarys...big deal that **** won't fall down.
AMEN. Speculators are the biggest scumbags in the face of the earth. i know its horrible to with death on someone. but if every single speculator would just die right now a horrible horrible death this world would be sweet again...
